Isabel has made an extraordinary feature doc that follows this "Showie" family as they tour across the eastern half of Australia. Visually fabulous, Isabel has stunning drone footage of the Bell's Family semi-trailer convoy as it moves from town to town delivering a carnival at each stop. It's not all smooth trucking as the family navigates the bushfires, the Covid pandemic and all the usual family dramas that even "Showie" families must endure.
An "SBS Original", The Carnival premiered at the 2023 Sydney Film Festival, screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival and a number of local screeneings as well as broasdcsast on SBS.
